Educational use only

The Cave Survey Training Simulator is provided as an educational and training resource for new and aspiring cavers. It teaches survey technique against procedurally generated virtual caves so users can practice before working on real underground projects.

Not a real-cave survey tool

The simulator is nota substitute for a calibrated Disto, a survey-grade compass and clinometer, or instruction from an experienced surveyor. The cave geometry is generated; the "closure" numbers reported by the app describe accuracy against that synthetic geometry, not against any real cave. Do not rely on data exported from this app as a substitute for a real survey of a real cave.

No warranty

The simulator is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The authors and contributors are not liable for any damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the app.

Third-party assets

Some textures and HDRI environment maps used in the simulator are sourced from Poly Haven and other open-license libraries. Full attribution is on the /credits page.
